Lindenwood Settles In to Beat Arkansas State

The Midwest Conference is back in action with Lindenwood taking on Arkansas State in Jonesboro, Ark. Saturday.

Lindenwood overcame some early stiffness to pulled away in the middle chunk of the match and win 45-25.

The Lions, said Head Coach Josh Macy, needed a little time to get things right on defense and in their set piece.

Out-of-Division Action for D1A Teams

Cal Poly defeated Trinity Western 44-36 in the first game of the Spartans' trip to Southern California.

For Trinity Western this was another good test and they will play UCSC in a couple of days. For Cal Poly, this was another improved performance.

Head Coach Chris O'Brien said his team has been working on its defensive structure, and that is beginning to show.

Beavers, Spartans On Top in California D1AA

ARC and San Jose State stay on top of the Northern California D1AA Conference after both teams logged big wins over the weekend.

For American River, it was a record-breaking day with a 134-14 win over San Francisco State. ARC was led by Haydn Williams, who scored four tries and was a defensive leader. In all, 15 different ARC players crossed the tryline.

Wild One in Tucson as Wildcats Push Bears

In a surprise scoreline that was almost a shocker result, Cal held on to defeat Arizona 57-51 in Tucson.

Sitton Field is often a tough place to play for road teams and it certainly was for the Cal Bears Saturday, and they weren't helped by getitng into repeated penalty trouble, that ultimately led to several Arizona tries.

BYU Takes Midweek Clash With UCLA

The BYU Cougars defeated UCLA 47-24 Thursday night in a rare midweek match in LA.

The Cougars are making yet another trip to warmer weather, following their nervy 29-26 win over Grand Canyon. This game was also close, with the final score perhaps not indicative of how tense it was.
