Classical Conversations and the National Athletic Village plan to hire 20-25 people in the next year in various capacities and is looking for resumes from rugby players and coaches who want to work, and be a part of something bigger than themselves.

“Rugby has given me so much, and I want to give back,” says Robert Bortins, CEO of Classical Conversations and owner of the brand new National Athletic Village. “I am looking for rugby players, who are wanting to play and be coached at a high level, while starting or continuing careers with a successful organization.” 

Classical Conversations has served the homeschool community for 19 years and has grown from the family garage to a multinational corporation that employees nearly 100 people.  

Classical Conversations is moving headquarters in November to Southern Pines, NC to be next to the 100-acre, multi-use and rugby facility called the National Athletic Village.  Employees will have access to the state-of-the-art gym, along with other competitive benefits and pay. There are entry level positions available in both organizations, from customer service, to accounting, to information technology with many more positions opening soon.

The Southern Pines Rugby Club made it to the South Regional finals last year, and has reloaded this fall with its sights set on a trip to Colorado in June.  They have brought in one of the pro players to start the process of upgrading talent and have a good relationship with Tiger Rugby.  Four current or former players from Southern Pines were at the Rugbytown 7s hosted at Glendale in August.  The team seeks to build on their recent history of success into something that is sustainable long term.

The National Athletic Village hosted its first rugby match on August 27th, 2016 and hosted the Clemson Rugby club this past spring as they prepared for the CRC’s in 2016 under the guidance of the Tiger Rugby Academy.  The National Athletic Village has already begun marketing by sponsoring high performance youth teams that played in the Las Vegas Invitational and the High School CRC tournament.  Join us and become part of something special.
