Boys HS Club Top 50 2024: Week 3
Boys HS Club Top 50 2024: Week 3
We do not have a lot of changes in the HS club scene, but we do have a few.
If your team dropped out, remember that the main reason is because you will have games coming up to move yourself up. Right now teams that moved in—Red Mountain, Greer, Cape Fear, and Tampa—did so because of results.
Three of those teams won games while Greer lost but in a close one against a pretty strong Oceanside team (ranked in the School Top 50). And that's how it's going to be. Teams, for the most part, will enter the Top 50 because of results.
Sometimes we might see a team that didn't play during a week replace someone else if the team they're replacing lost big or something like that. But really the message is, don't despair Pulaski, Phoenix, War Eagle, and Traverse City—results and strong numbers will give you a chance to move up. Same goes for anyone else not ranked.

Also ... fun fact, Camas has moved states! The observant among will notice that Camas has played in Rugby Oregon but is actually a town in Washington. This is because Portland is jammed right up against the border with Washington on the Columbia River and so many suburbs or satellite cities (Vancouver, Wash.) and towns that you'd expect near a city of 600,000 are actually in another state. Camas and Battle Ground (Wash.) both played in Rugby Oregon for this reason. However, Camas has moved as part of a push to grow rugby in Southwestern Washington. We're pulling for them, with Vancouver, Longview, Kelso, Chehalis, Centralia, even Rochester all along the I-5 corridor in Washington, there is a ton of potential there.
