With three tries from Ashley Rolsma and two each from Jennifer Johnson and Mele Halahuni, Central Washington put New Mexico to the sword 114-0 in the DI Elite quarterfinals at CWU. Emma Leonard scored 25 points for the Wildcats.
Jordan Gray scored three for BYU while Sia Skipps and Analise Arnold added two each as BYU ran to a 41-0 halftime lead over Stanford and cruised to a 70-5 win. BYU plays Central Saturday in the Western bracket semifinal.
Life raced out to a 17-0 halftime lead with Darian Lovelace, N'Keiah Butler, and Nicole Strasko scoring tries. Lindenwood got on the scoresheet in the second half, but Strasko's second and two from Deshel Ferguson put Life through to Sunday's semis with a 37-15 victory. Penn State got a bye when Indiana pulled out, so the semifinals are set in the Eastern bracket, with Life playing Penn State.
In Saturday's semifinal between BYU and CWU, the teams were tied early, but BYU took some semblance of control late in the first half with a try under the posts and a try from freshman forward Emily Briggs to make it 17-5 at halftime.
Analise Arnold's try basically made it too far for CWU to come, and the Cougars held on 24-10, booking a spot in the May 7 final in Moraga, Calif.
