St. Paul’s of Covington finished their Deep South HS league season undefeated after they won 17-10 on the road against 2nd-place Mississippi.
JT Kinch, Cullen Lagasse, Christian Jarrett, and Jacob McDonald all scored for St. Paul’s, who finished the season with 183 points for an only 25 scored again.
"Mississippi doesn't give anyone an inch. You have to fight for every step, " said St Paul's scrumhalf Kyle Gardner, adding, with respect, that “they hit like we do."
St. Paul’s now heads into the Deep South playoffs with the #1 seed.
