Are we clear on the top four teams in North Carolina's HS league already?
It might be a bit premature. Some teams might still be waiting for football players or wrestlers to join, so the fact that some teams have jumped out to an early running start isn't an indication (necessarily) of how the season will end.

Now at 3-0, South Meck won comfortably 40-5 over Ardrey Kell.
South Meck saw Quinn Miller score early—Miller has been active on the scoresheet already. The lineout has been a good platform for South Meck and Miller scored off that. Jack Flemmings added a try on a penalty advantage, and then Jackson Wilson scored his first try of the season of a scrum and that platform has worked nicely for South Meck, too. Allen Diminich's try was also off a scrum.
Add to that a 60-meter breakaway for Tim Hawyes (his first try) and it was 31-0 at the halftime break
Jameson Beatty scored and converted to open the second half, and Brennan Rhodes followed on. Beatty converted and ended with 15 points (a try and five conversions) on the day. Ardrey Kell scored late to avoid the shutout.
