One more week in the Southern California Varsity Red divisions - the division for 100% single-school teams.

We know who will be in the playoffs, and Mira Costa and St. John Bosco lead the Los Angeles division, and La Costa Canyon and Torrey Pines lead in San Diego. It now all comes down to who will be 1st.

St. John Bosco defeated Citrus Valley 52-5 to move to 4-0.

Mira Costa, meanwhile, thumped Roosevelt on the road despite being somewhat shorthanded. No. 8 Jonah Tavai was player of the game, and opened the scoring. Flanker Gunnar Kissman was a monster, and scrumhalf and captain Harrison Dulgarian was strong, too.

Mira Costa is 1st then on points difference, and they play Bosco next week in a game which decides who is 1st.

Meanwhile, Torrey Pines put in their best performance of the season so far in a 46-7 win over Cathedra (Torrey Pines Slams Cathedral), while Ls Costa Canyon had to battle for it over Saint Augustine (La Costa Canyon Survives Saints Attack). Both are 4-0, although La Costa Canyon leads thanks to an extra bonus point. As in the LA division, these two play each other this coming week.

All four are in the championship hunt no matter what happens, as #1 from LA will host #2 from San Diego, and #1 from San Diego will host #2 from LA. All four are playing extremely well.
