The Dallas Harlequins Colts proved wrapped a nice bow on their conference title in the Rugby Texas North with a 51-26 defat of the Allen Eagles.

The victory meant the Colts finished 7-3, and dropped Allen to 6-3-1 for the season.

Under Head Coach Mark McCloy, the Colts have ramped up their results, and their scoring, of late. After a 2-3 start, they have been on a tear, and this week was an impressive revenge over an Allen team that had beaten the Colts in February. Senior Terance Hargest has scored seven tries in the last three games and has also been the heart of the teams defense with his counter-rucking abilities. Junior Jordan Wander was explosive off the base of the scrum, strong in the lineout, and proved hard to bring down in the open field time and time again.

Junior Parker McMillian held down the scrums and clamped down on defense close in to the breakdowns.

Allen flyhalf Tyson Lucas continued his strong run of form and Eagles lock Ian Morris had a very solid performance.

Now on to the playoffs, with both the Colts and the Eagles involved. The Quins Colts will host St. Pius next weekend at Spencer Field, while Allen will travel South to face West Conference winners Cy Fair.

Also in Texas, St. Thomas defeated Lake Houston (PKA Kingwood) 50-0.

It was an impressive end of the season for St. Thomas, but not quite enough as they missed the playoffs by a single bonus point.

Head Coach James Wolfinger praised his team's defensive performance, and he also got some big offensive plays from Sam Yeboah, Tommy Batterson, Clay Reidy, Miguel Cano, and Eli Young. Flyhalf Riley Bishop scored three tries and added five conversions and a drop goal for 28 points. Flanker Griffin Maat put in his usual full day's work and scored twice, while Cano, Alex Pollock, and David Heffernan also touched down.

Joining the Colts and Cy Fair atop conferences are The Woodlands and Westlake. The other playoff teams are Lake Travis and Katy.

Westlake will host Katy, and Woodlands will host Lake Travis.
