Well we skipped last week because of our site reboot and we just couldn't get to it.
And that was a shame because Kentucky's tie with LSU promised to shake everything up. Which is still did.
Now, with two weeks of results, and some deep soul-search, we have a lot of changes.
Here's what we have:
- LSU did indeed tie Kentucky but Kentucky's overall record is stronger and we just couldn't quite bump the Tigers into the Top 5.
- But with LSU moving up and Western Washington's strong opening, Sam Houston State saw what might have been a small drop increase to three spots.
- We took a longer look at it all, and we have decided to toss out Wayne State's opening week non-conference win over Kansas. Since that game the Jayhawks have just been a lot stronger overall.
- Oklahoma and Texas A&M get big bumps and they deserve it.
- Central Washington beat Oregon and comes in at #27. South Florida has been playing preseason games and their last win impressed us.
- UNC, Cincinnati, San Francisco State, and UConn are all potential ranked teams. We're reluctant to jump on West Coast teams because they have so much rugby to play in the New Year.
We think that there isn't a lot of difference among the top 10 or even 15. This is a very competitive division this year.
