The main changes come courtesy of the Heart of America and, a little bit, with the Liberty.
Yale's win over Babson was a shakeup result and brings the Bulldogs into our Top 30. Meanwhile, as chronicled earlier in the week, UHSP defeated Kansas State and gets to appear in the rankings, also.
This has been tough because none of the rankings have been charitable. Dropping anyone out of this 30 was a difficult decision.
The biggest mover is Oklahoma. The thing about a team that wins convincingly is you have the question about whether it's the winner being strong or the losing team being in a down period. Well, once we see some common opponents we start to make some decisions there. OU is very good, and shutting out Texas, along with their almost-shutout of UHSP (who we just decided was worthy of a ranking) plus a two-point loss to Kansas means the Sooners deserve the six-spot bump.
Now what? Here's a look at some of the best games this coming week. A smaller Rankings Score for the matchup is better.
Iowa vs Wayne State (Rankings score of 9.8) This is a conference playoff seeds decider.
LSU vs Kentucky (17.1)
Texas vs Texas A&M (If UT loses badly we're probably seeing them leave the Top 30) (Rankings score of 32.2)
We're also quite curious about Oregon vs Central Washington.
