USA Women's Head Coach Jack Hanratty has made just a couple of changes in the Eagles lineup as his side prepares to take on England Friday in Harrison, NJ at Sports Illustrated Stadium.
Fans can watch the action at 5:10 PM ET on Paramount+ and CBS Sports Network.
Hope Rogers returns to start at loosehead prop.
Georgie Perris-Redding captains again and she anchors a back row that includes Hann Humphreys and Freda Tafuna. Tafuna scored three tries last week against Italy, while Humphreys was a big worker off the ball and in support.
Hooker Kathryn Treder, tighthead prop Mae Sagapolu, and locks Hallie Taufoou and Rachel Ehrecke all return.
Abigail Paton returns to scrumhalf and that's the only change as Nina Mason is at flyhalf, World Rugby Breakout Player Nominee Bella Vogel, and Emily Henrich are in the midfield, and the deep three is Alev Kelter, Bulou Mataitoga, and Ashley Cowdrey.
The bench us led by co-captain Erica Jarrell-Searcy sees the addition of Mona Tupou, Cass Bargell and Tessa Hann this week next to Paige Stathopoulos, Kapoina Bailey, Kate Zackary and last week's stand out debut Lauryn Carlton.
Vogel gave a nod to everyone on the squad.
"I think having our players that aren't rostered has been tremendous help," said Vogel. "They take on the role of playing the other team when we're scrimmaging, and they do film on them and try and become the other team as best as possible. And that has I think improved our game so much.I think all of the players, no matter what, they work so hard in practice."
And the depth has been developed as a result.
"It's really hard to to turn around and say to a player: 'you are playing well, but you're not in this 23,' and that's what's new for us now," said Hanratty. "Everyone's been absolutely fantastic, and and this week was tough because it's the it's the end of the seven weeks, so the the the conversations now where like our next game isn't until next March, or next summer we get together fully as a group. So that's that's a tough one, but I I just think everyone's been excited about it."
And playing the World Rugby #1 almost takes the pressure off.
"I think we've got a a bit of an opportunity for a free hit, but I love the fact that we're coming into it with with momentum," said Hanratty. "But it's at the end of a seven- and eight-week tour, and I just like it's amazing that our meetings are still energetic, our training sessions are still actually of quality, and I would also say that for me, the fact that we get to play at home against the world champions, what an incredible end to Bella's first year, to my own first year, and to this squad's first year of of what hopefully will be an incredible four year cycle."
