USA prop Jack Iscaro will be a bit late to the Eagles assembly as he has been named to the Barbarians squad to face Wales this coming Saturday.

Iscaro, who played his high school rugby at Gonzaga College HS in Washington DC, and then went on to play for Cal, is as good an example of the classic (and possibly preferred) American path to rugby prominence.

He played rugby as a youngster, was accomplished as a higher-schooler and played for the USA High School All Americans. He then went on to a well-respected collegiate program where he was an All American.

Iscaro later played for Old Glory DC in Major League Rugby and made the Eagles, before securing a contract with Stade Francais in Paris, playing in the French Top 14.

Capped 18 times by the USA, Iscaro has played 11 Top 14 games for Paris as well as all five European Challenge Cup games the club played.

What helps Iscaro in this European journey is that he was born in Germany and thus qualifies as a European spot on the team. He is signed with the club through the 2026-27 season.

His performance has been spotted by the Barbarians, the international compilation side that plays exhibition games against national teams and major pro teams. The Barbarians played South Africa this past weekend, with the Springboks winning 80-31. The Barbarians will play Wales Saturday at Allianz Stadium at Twickenham at 9AM ET. The game will be shown on FloRugby.
