Hermits Swing The Sticks On Tour
The St. Augustine Hermits are on tour in Ireland and have found that while you can't ignore worried about coronavirus, you can travel and be safe and still have a great time.
Traveling to Ireland hasn't been as much of a concern as traveling to other countries has been, and that's in part due to Ireland's relatively low population density (Ireland is more than three times the size of Massachusetts, but has fewer people). What that means is, plenty of stuff to do and places to be without the crowds.

The Hermits took in a coaching session with Trinity Ruby Head Coach Tony Smeeth, and went back for another, as well as an introduction to the traditional spot of hurling at the Na Fianna Club. The players were given a fairly detailed introduction to the game (which involves a large pitch, netted goals, goalposts, a cudgel called a hurley, and a ball kind of like a baseball called a sliotar.
Ready to try anything, the St. Augustine players threw themselves into the session, tweeting: "It may not always have been pretty...but it was a lot of fun!"
