Here's a look at some of the top performers in Boys HS rugby this past weekend, with action from Northern and Southern California, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and both Carolinas.

Tyler Nunnery, Danville

The Danville flanker was superb in stealing possession throughout an exciting win over Peninsula Green.

Nick Gauthe, Jesuit - New Orleans

The senior prop (pictured, Hudson Ellis photo) led the forwards and was a powerhouse running with the ball. This was Gauthe's first start ever for Jesuit. He's taken to the game well and is a strong scrummager despite his inexperience.

Ryan Dowgiewics, Wilson HS

The outside backs looked very good, moving the ball and showcasing some snappy ball handling. Fullback Ryan Dowgiewics, outside center Jeremiah Nunez, and wing Roberto Hernandez were especially good with their running and ball handling.

Cole Hardan, San Pasqual

The San Pasqual No. 8 has been named the player of the game in virtually every match his team has played.

Simon Cormack, Katy

Cormack was the Barbarians' best forward in a good performance against Woodlands, albeit a 30-26 loss.

Ty Graham, Myers Park

Graham scored three tries as Myers Park defeated Irmo.

Beau Morgans, Torrey Pines

The Torrey Pines scrumhalf (pictured kicking out of trouble, Anna Scipione photo) continues to be a superb attacker and helped spark a big win over Cathedral.

Carlos Ramirez, Jesuit - Sacramento

In win over Marin, Ramirez directed the attack nicely from scrumhalf, pinned Marin back with his kicking, and also converted six tries.

James Downey, St. Augustine

The Saints may have lost to LCC but it was a close one, and Downey, playing and scoring at flyhalf, was a big reason why.

Ian Tarr, Tre Stigall, and Niklas Lundqvist, La Costa Canyon

The Mavericks' back row roamed the field ferociously in a tight tussle with St. Agustine, ultimately a win for LCC.

Gunnar Kissman, Mira Costa

Kissman, playing flanker, was a huge factor defensively and offensively as he helped lead Mira Costa to yet another victory.

Manny Seyon, Chapel Hill Highlands

The Highlanders hooker had a big impact, on his team's win over Clayton, roaming the field, making good tackles, and running the ball effectively too.

Reid Brandt, Charlotte Catholic

Brandt scored four tries in his team's win over Cape Fear.

Jacob Line, Orlando

In Orlando's win over Sebastien River, Line played both flanker and flyhalf, and did both well, powering into rucks, pinning SR back with kicks, being among the team leaders in tackles, and scoring a try.

Adriaan Van Niekerk, Ahwatukee

The No. 8 and captain of the Ahwatukee team in Arizona led by example as his team defeated defending Nevada state champs the Las Vegas Blackhawks, over the weekend.

Jared Miller, Tampa Krewe

Miller is the No. 8 and co-captain of the Tampa Krewe, and was a leader on the field as well as a try-scorer as Tampa beat Naples.

Stijn Albers, Woodlands

The Woodlands captain was instrumental in his team's close win over Katy, making smart decisions and kicking a crucial penalty.
