Claremont Colleges moved to 6-0 and have almost mathematically clinched 1st in the Pacific Desert women's D1 league over the weekend, beating UC San Diego 45-19 to get there.
As usual, Claremont under Head Coach Evan Wollen spread the wealth among their try-scorers, although Raquelle Ortiz did tally three. This team is know for their superior passing skills and understanding of space, and this year's version has vaulted to the top of the D1 conversation.

At 6-0 with "only" four bonus points for four tries, Claremont is now at 28 standings points, two ahead of Grand Canyon and four ahead of Arizona State.
Those two could catch the Foxes because they have been a bit more successful in garnering those bonus points. What they would need is for Claremont to falter against UCLA next week and then whichever team wins between those two Arizona-based sides could take #1.
