the heavy rains and flooding that have hit the Pacific Northwest has been pretty far-reaching, and more rain is expected, but the devastation was especially hard in Duvall, a town northeast of Seattle.

It hit the local rugby community hard. Last week the mother of Eastside Lions player, Killian Ingram, was tragically killed while driving her car—the storm and the wet ground caused a tree to fall on her car.

Emma Ingram, who left Killian and his brother Tyler, was one of those tireless rugby moms who organized kit, fed players, ran events, all without recognition.

As the announcement of her death said: [Emma was] a constant, loving presence on the sidelines, she brought warmth, encouragement, and friendship to parents, coaches, and players alike. She truly embodied the unseen work that holds a community together."

The family, now without their mother, were flooded out of their house at the same time.

Eastside Rugby Club teams and coaches have been coming together to help that family and also help farms that are under water as the Snohomish River rose 10 feet above flood stage.

Eastside Lions rugby players and coaches assisted flood victims over this past weekend, helped the Ingram family, and, as a levee has given way in Tukwila (just south of Seattle), they are ready to do more.
