Saturday, the play-ins were held, and the WIIL Conference came out of it pretty well.

#2 Illinois State edged the Midwest winner IUPUI 24-21. The WIIl #3, UW-Milwaukee, defeated Minnesota-Duluth 39-31 to halt Duluth's longtime run to the national final four.

Also victorious in the play-ins were NC State (29-10 over ECU), and Upstate NY winner SUNY Oswego, which hammered Rugby Northeast #2 Southern Connecticut State.
