We've got quite a bit of movement, or at least potential movement, in the middle portion of the GRR Boys Single-School Rankings this week.
The top teams haven't at the moment, done much, but we also haven't seen anyone jump out to challenge them ... yet. Georgetown Prep drops somewhat after a loss to Fort Hunt, and that happened despite the fact that Fort Hunt is ranked higher in the HS Club rankings than G-Town is in the Single-School rankings. Why? Because there are other single-school teams winning, and they are moving up.
It's the SoCal teams at the crux of their season that make the moves. This will never be an exact science, because the top single-school teams in SoCal are done before many other teams have even started. But we're making the attempt, and we're pretty sure Mira Costa is a Top 10 team, and La Costa Canyon and Torrey Pines are close. Snow Canyon makes a move after a nice win over East HS. Brother Martin jumps into the rankings at #24 thanks to a win over a top-ranked HS club. St. Pius X gets a look after two good wins, including one over a ranked team. South Meck also comes in.
Fallbrook and San Pasqual have both been on rolls lately, and they get rewarded. Fallbrook's season is done, so we'll see if they keep that #39 ranking. Fallbrook does play in the club season, so they have a chance to keep the momentum going.
