Boys 2021 School HS Rankings Week 13
Boys were we close to pushing St. Ignatius to #1 after the Wildcats beat Gonzaga, and, frankly, we don't have an especially compelling reason why we didn't.
Herriman has been idle, and that opens the door. Ignatius has been playing heavily outside their region, and that opens the door. Yes Ignatius lost big to the Charlotte Tigers way back in March, and maybe we're holding onto that, but you could easily argue that that game, the opener for SIHS, could be put aside.
But we haven't done that. Not yet. Ignatius could blast through the Rugby Ohio playoffs and that might be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Oddly, we do put a lot of stake in a loss for Gonzaga. They were right there against Ignatius and, with a nod to history and based on our own observations, we've put them in at #5.

Greenwich moves up after a good win vs Simsbury and in anticipation of a key game vs Xavier. We bring Brownsburg back after a close loss to a Bishop Dwenger team you know we think can play; Pelham gets into the Top 50 out of New York.
We've got a very interesting week coming up with Regis vs Palmer tonight, the Ohio semifinals and the Indiana final fours. Gonzaga plays two games (Georgetown Prep and Vienna) in a weekend designed to test their squad before nationals, and Aquinas plays the KC Jr. Blues.
