1-1 Trip South for Jesuit Sacramento
Jesuit of Sacramento wrapped up its preseason trip to Southern California with one win and one loss.
On Friday Mira Costa ran out to a 15-10 lead over Jesuit only for the Marauders to score twice to come back and win 25-15.
Jesuit Head Coach Andrew Acosta said his team made some typical first-game mistakes but pulled it together.
"I do want to thank Mira Costa for being great hosts," added Acosta. "Great facilities, trainers, national anthem, and post-match meal. Credit to Duke [Dulgarian] and his staff for their help."
The next day Jesuit took on one of the leading SCIRF teams in Charlotte Catholic.
Cathedral cut through with a dummy and break by Grant Gancarz.
Finn Kenney intercepted a pass when Jesuit tried to run out of their own 22, and Catholic began to build on that lead. Certainly the Dons were in more mid-season form while Jesuit is just starting out.
