The National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) women's playoff picure is clearing up.
Region 1 - Northeast
University of New England, the NERFU Champ and Runnerup Franklin Pierce Univ. will take part in the Keene State College hosted Regional Championship this weekend. Joining them are St. Bonaventure and Sacred Heart.
The Upstate NY final saw St. Bonaventure (finished 4th in 2011 NSCRO Championship) handle the Univ. of Rochester easily 45 to 5.
In the TriState final, defending champ Sacred Heart knocked off nemesis Fordham 53-0.
Region 2 - New England
Roger Williams will face off against Wellesley in the Regional final this Sunday. RWU of the Colonial Coast RC will be looking to make it 3 trips in a row to Nationals with a 2012 2nd place and 2013 3rd place finish.
Wellesley won the small college league in the New England Wide Conference.
Region 3 - Mid-Atlantic
Findlay left no doubt who rules the Great Lakes Ohio Conference with strong wins against Kenyon (68-0) and Wittenberg (48-0).
The College of William & Mary easily beat Longwood 58 to 7 to capture the Capital RU league.
Both Mount St. Mary's and Albright have qualified for the Regional but it was The Mount who captured the East Penn RU title 44 to 5.
The 4 teams will knock heads this weekend in the Regional hosted by Mount St. Mary's.
Region 4 - West
Wayne State, 2-time defending National Champion, met its match in windy Rochester, Minnesota as Minnesota-Moorhead captured the NSCRO West Region title 22-13. Carleton beat St. Benedict 29-12 for 3rd place. Moorhead will be making their first appearance at Nationals on Nov. 22-23.
