Men DII College Rankings Week #4
Two weeks of data plus some upsets means we have a TON of moves in the Men's DII college rankings.
Furman drops. So does Sacred Heart. So does Western State. RPI gets a boost, and so does UNC-Charlotte, Middlebury, Bloomsburg and other MARC teams, and Quinnipiac.
Southern Conference Latest
In another brutal and well played match in the Southern Conference's Eastern Division, ECU sewed up the #1 seed over a game Coastal Carolina side, 25-12.
The match was a war of attrition in the pack and ECU prevailed with overwhelming control of possession.
GVSU Beats Bethel in Key Great Lakes Clash
In a meeting of two undefeated teams in the Great Lakes Men's DII Conference, Grand Valley State held off upstarts Bethel College 16-8.
GVSU is the perennial Great Lakes top dog, but Bethel, newly up from the small college ranks, has been winning at a very noticeable pace. This game promised to be hotly contested, and so it was.
UNC-Charlotte Downs Furman in Key Southern Clash
In a midweek clash of top teams in the Southern Rugby Conference, UNC-Charlotte defeated Furman 29-16.
Both teams were undefeated going into the match and understood that the game would have playoff implications.
