Gamebreakers This Week in D1 College Rugby
We cover action from the last two weeks in men's D1A, NCR D1, and D1AA action.
Here are some players who stood out the last couple of weeks, and it's interesting to see how many freshmen looked strong, and it's got to be a good column for the Vienna HS program as we've got three grads from there in this week's list.
D1A All Americans Named for 2022-2023 Season
The College Rugby Association of America’s (CRAA) has announced its D1A All-American Team for the 2022-2023 Season.
Six of the players named to the D1A All-Americans have been drafted by Major League Rugby in 2023. A total of twenty-three College Rugby of Association of America players were taken in the domestic competition’s 2023 draft class.
Men D2 2023 Rankings Week 2
Not a lot of D2 games this week but there were a few.
Northern Iowa goes 1-2 in the Middle of the Map tournament but that wasn't a bad performance at all. All of their opponents were D1 teams and they were competitive in all games. So, yes, it's a tournament (so not super rankings important) but still good enough.
Atlantic Coast All-Star Team Finalized for WURIT
The Atlantic Coast All Star team is set for the World University Rugby Invitational Tournament slated for this month in Bordeaux, France.
GRR D1A Rankings 2023-24 Week 2
OK, we won't keep you in suspense, there are no changes.
There are no changes in our D1A rankings.
There will be more games as we go on, but right now, we didn't see anything (including Navy's loss to Trinity) that screamed "Change It!"
So, really, this is just for your records.
