NCR D1 Rankings Fall 2026 Week 6

We took a week break from the NCR D1 rankings so there's a ton of data to go through for this week.

The multiple results for some of those teams is interesting because so many of the games are close. As a result we're making big shifts based on tight results. Aquinas beats Indiana Tech by three points? Yup, let's make a move. Michigan is within three of UCLA? Make a move.

Dartmouth, Brown Vault to Top of Liberty D1

Dartmouth has taken over 1st in the Liberty NCR D1 after an impressive 62-22 defeat of Fordham this weekend.

With the win the Big Green is 3-0 with four-try bonus points in each game. In fact, throughout the season so far Dartmouth's attack has been explosive and relentless.

Did Rematches Get Revenge in D1A Weekend?

Life University got back on the winning track, Military Academies kept rolling, there was a big result in the Big 10, and Penn State made a statement—all this and more in D1A Saturday.

Leading the way might well be Ohio State's 31-24 defeat of defending Big 10 champs Notre Dame. In these pages GRR has hinted at an improved Buckeye team and it definitely seemed to be on display here.

Another Close On in ARC as Walsh Edges St. Bonaventure

In a clash of GRR's #1 and #4 NCR D1 teams, Walsh University scored a late try to edge St. Bonaventure 20-14 Friday night in New York State.

St. Bonaventure has been in close games all season, with three victories by a lone point and another win by less than a try. So a close game was nothing new. And, in fact, this game was a one-point lead in favor of Bonnies for most of the match.

Early results in the Great Midwest confirm that, yes, Northern Iowa is still good, and, yes, Chicago is still strong, but also there are one or two up-and-comers.
