It's a big weekend for several DII college conferences, as we find out who is the best among some leading or undefeated teams.

Among the most intriguing might be Illinois State against Northern Iowa. Both teams are unbeaten in the WIIL South, but ISU has not even allowed a point.

"It's all down to trusting each other and trusting the tackler," said ISU's Will Blair. "We are communicating well and playing well as a unit. Because we communicate, we don't give up those overloads out wide. We know it probably won't last - we hope it will - but we think we regroup well and we'll be able to even if we're scored on." The WIIL North is also enjoying a big weekend, with Wisconsin Whitewater (5-0) against Northern Michigan (4-1).

In the Great Lakes, GVSU and Oakland are both unbeaten. Check out our preview of this game here. It's the same situation in the Gateway West, with both Pittsburg State and Missouri S&T at 2-0. They play each other in a clash to decide who has to face Gateway East top team Southern Illinois in the playoffs. The big game in the Southern Conference will be Tuesday. See why here. 

The Tri-State Conference has its playoffs. Of interest in this game is the RPI at Seton Hall game, in that Goff Rugby Report has RPI ranked, and Seton Hall not ranked, and yet RPI is the lower-seeded team. We'll see how it pans out.

Also, in the Northern Lights, North Dakota and St. Cloud State play each other to decide who gets to Minnesota-Duluth in the October 29 semifinal.
