We actually have a video talking about some of the major movers on this week's rankings.

Overall, though, we see the top-ranked teams (for the most part) win convincingly. The teams ranked 12 or so to maybe 25 are those that are either winning against teams that aren't ranked, or haven't really got going yet. We usually have a nagging question about them one way or another.

Did we reward Grand Valley State too much? Probably not, but that doesn't mean they won't drift down a shade. We need consistency, and if we see more from teams such as Vermont or NC State or the slow-to-start SCRC, we could see those teams move up.

This coming weekend we at GRR will be at Vermont vs UMass-Lowell, a nice #15 vs #6 clash that could tell us a lot. We were at IUP vs Kent State this past weekend and can tell you that IUP is indeed very strong. Some other rankings-affecting games coming up:

Western Colorado vs Northern Colorado
Coast Guard vs Norwich
UNC Charlotte vs NC State
Marist vs USMMA
Central Missouri vs Southern Nazarene

... which reminds us. We had Southern Nazarene in the rankings but they have informed us that really they should be ranked as a D1 side, and so we took them out (that's why Pitt State's listing shows SNU's ranking replaced by an asterisk). Every year something like this happens, and this has been especially interesting as school-supported teams compete in D2 conferences, sometimes as D2 teams and sometimes not.
