On Wednesday, July 5, former Xavier HS and Iona College rugby player James Dowdell, a firefighter with the Fire Department of New York, rescued four men trapped in an elevator at the Brooklyn Cin Edison Plant in New York.

CRC Final Day Latest
Cal won their 5th-straight CRC Sunday, defeating Life University 19-0 in the final.
The final day of the CRC was a test, and maybe a final exam, of how difficult a top-level 7s tournament can be. Fit and aggressive, Lindenwood expected to make the final, but in the end some execution and discipline breakdowns cost them and it was Life that won that semi.
