Some obvious moves in the Men's All-DI rankings, with Cal nudging ahead of Central Washington by virtue of beating said Wildcats 14-13. It was a close one - about as close as you can get - and they seem essentially tied for now.
Beast of the East Men College Winners
UMass-Amherst, Roger Williams, and Maine-Farmington claimed bracket championships in the Men's College divisions of the Beast of the East held last week in Rhode Island.
Homegrown Talent Leads ODU to ACRC 7s
Ardmore, Pa. (ACRC 7s Report) —Old Dominion University does not need to travel far to attend the 2016 ACRC7s this weekend (April 30-May 1) at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex. But for ODU, the tournament represents a big step forward in their journey to becoming a nationally recognized rugby program.
Men DII College 7s Latest
It was a busy weekend for Men's DII college teams looking to qualify for the USA Rugby College 7s Championships in Cary, NC.
Joining Wisconsin-Whitewater and Minnesota-Duluth in the championship, Marist defeated Vassar 24-14 to win the Tri-State; Salve Regin defeated Endicott to win the CCRC; UMass-Lowell needed overtime to beat Bentley and win Rugby Northeast.
College 7s Latest
Some interesting college 7s action this weekend.
Salve Regina went 6-0 to win the Colonial Coast Rugby Rugby Conference 7s Saturday, and garner a spot at USA Rugby's Men's DII College 7s Championships in Cary, NC in May.
Salve defeated Endicott in the final behind Connor Murphy's two tries. Murphy was named MVP of the final.
