It's tightening up at the top of the Rugby Idaho Girls 7s series after this slate of midweek games.

Rocky Mountain Black swept Monday's JV games with two shutouts, including a startling 17-0 defeat of Mountain View, which had entered the day ranked #1. Rocky Mountain Purple, meanwhile struggled a little, just barely edging out Eagle HS 7-5, and then losing to Mountain View 22-7.

Mountain View HS has to be feeling pretty good after a solid week in the Rugby Idaho Girls HS 7s, as the programs ended up in a virtual tie for 1st in the JV league and in 1st place outright among the Varsity teams.

Sure there's plenty of rugby left in the fall, but with the next round of games coming up on Saturday, all eyes will be on how anyone can take Mountain View down.

Mountain View HS is not atop the Rugby Idaho Girls Varsity Fall 7s after a second-straight 2-0 tournament.

Mountain View was in fine form at their home field on Tuesday evening for Round 2 of the Rugby Idaho series. Facing fellow 2-0 team Rocky Mountain, Mountain View opened the throttle and shut out their rivals 33-0 behind a torrid first-half onslaught.

Monday, today, the JV girls return to the pitch with Rocky Mountain Purple and Mountain View HS both coming in with 2-0 records.
