GRR: Rugby Idaho
Here's a look at the the fall High School 7s around the country.
Rugby PASusquehanna University hosted a leg of the Rugby PA Boys series, with series leaders Berks not in attendance.
In Pool A was West Shore, Bishop Shanahan, St. Joe’s Prep, and the Bethesda (Md.) Roosters.
Pool B had Blackthorn, Doylestown, Conestoga, and a Motley team.
The West ADA Girls 7s league is moving along in Idaho, and while we Eagle remains a tough team to fly with, Mountain View is flying almost as high; one reason for that is Avery Morgan.
Mountain View bounced back from a 1-1 start to beat upstarts Owyhee in Week 2 and Centennial and Rocky Mountain in Week 3 to improve to 4-1. (Eagle is 5-1 after beating Owyhee and Meridian this week).
The West ADA School District Girls 7s in the Boise, Idaho has returned and Eagle HS has started strong.
The Eagles won both their games in the split competition (six teams are in action, with three playing a round-robin at one location, and three others playing at another venue). New program Owyhee Storm also stared with two wins.
When Capital HS beat Rocky Mountain on April 2 you got the feeling that the balance of power might be shifting a little in the state of Idaho.
States are starting to crown their high school champions.
