GRR: Liberty Conference
Binghamton started off their season nicely with a 52-12 defeat of Cornell this past weekend and will look ahead to an interesting, new-look Liberty Conference season.
The Liberty Conference has split into two tiers now based mostly on status and school support. Binghamton, like the others in the Liberty DIAA-Club tier is a club team, not receiving significant school support.
The Liberty Conference has made its all-conference selections, with 15 players in its 1st team, 15 in the second, and 21 honorable mentions.
The NCR D1 playoff bracket is set; here's how it looks.
(Note that the numbers in tbe bracket graphic are NCR's rankings of their D1 teams.)
Iona and Northeastern clash for the Liberty Conference title Saturday.
Both teams have showed off impressive offenses and can claim to have dominated their division. At the same time, they've been humbled, as well. Iona shipped over 50 to Indiana; Northeastern did the same with Dartmouth.
So there's still stuff to work on.
The final standings are set for the Liberty Conference and four teams are left for the playoffs.
Three teams ended up 1st in their division, and all were undefeated: Syracuse, Iona, and Northeastern.
