GRR: Liberty Conference
Brown and Fairfield won two key games in the Liberty Conference Saturday.
Brown took a big step toward being top dog in the Liberty NCR D1 with a 31-23 defeat of Iona Saturday.
Both teams entered the game undefeated in the conference.
Brown’s defense did well to frustrate Iona, especially in the first half where they took a 24-9 lead.
RPI laid down ... maybe not a marker, but a warning this past weekend in a close loss to Marist.
The Engineers fell short 12-10 to the Red Foxes, leaving Marist undefeated, but with the conference playoffs looming, RPI could shake things up.
It's already time to think about the playoff scenarios in some conferences, and since the Liberty has multiple levels, let's look at them.

Liberty NCR D1As expected there are three undefeated teams in the Liberty NCR D1 league now after the weekend's action.

The Yale men are now 3-0 in the Liberty DIAA Conference, having beaten Rhode Island this past weekend.
That victory put the Bulldogs atop the conference having also beaten Colgate and Columbia.
