GRR: University of Arizona
Arizona looked very impressive in defeating LSU 30-10 Saturday in the DIA playoffs.
The Wildcats, playing on the road in Baton Rouge, La., spread the ball nicely and enjoyed an excellent game from flyhalf Kyle Rogers.
It’s a quick turnaround from the regular season to the DIA playoffs, but the first round is indeed upon us this coming weekend.
Eight teams enter the playoffs from all over the country, and all with some significant game-hardening behind them. Here’s a look:
The University of Arizona defeated the University of Colorado 56-12 in an impressive display at the Las Vegas Invitational this past weekend.
With the Wildcats looking to garner some support for a DIA playoff position, this game was as important as any conference game.
BERKELEY, Calif. (Cal Rugby plus additional notes) – A depleted Cal lineup continued to play valiantly, if not flawlessly, Saturday on Witter Rugby Field, beating UCLA, 37-3, to claim a share of the top spot in the PAC Rugby Conference.
Lindenwood defeated Arizona 88-5 Saturday in a non-conference meeting of two DIA teams.
Lindenwood is ranked #5 among all DI programs by Goff Rugby Report, while the Wildcats are #21.
