GRR: SCIRF
In a much anticipated rematch between the Cathedral Catholic Dons and Fallbrook Warriors, the Dons topped the Warriors 76-10 Friday night at Manchester Stadium.
We're starting to see the stronger teams make a move in Southern California, but at the same time the SCIRF top league is bunching up.
Here's what happened this week.
Because the Southern California's Boys HS season is split up into three, no, four leagues, it's easy to see it as small, but taken in aggregate we see that this past weekend eight games involving 16 teams.
Along with Southern California and the Carolinas, we now have Florida, Louisiana, and Texas stepping onto the field.
How great is that?
In the opening game of the SCIRF season, Fallbrook defeated Cathedral Catholic 33-24.
The result was certainly a signal that Fallbrook's recruiting push has succeeded.
"We just plaued our game plan and played as a team," said Fallbrook Head Coach Sierra Arteaga. "It was a very tough game and competitive on both sides."
