After receiving all the input form the Southern California Interscholastic Rugby Federation (SCIRF) coaches, Director Glenn Irvine is happy to announce the 2023 All Southern California Interscholastic Rugby Federation Team.
The 2023 All SCIRF Team:
Dylan Fortune – Cathedral Catholic HS
Victory Johnson – Cathedral Catholic HS
Ryan Bugg – Cathedral Catholic HS
St. Augustine and Cathedral Catholic in Southern California held the inaugural SD Invitational, hosting St. Joseph's Prep from Philadelphia and Regis Jesuit from Denver.
Several highly-ranked teams or hope-to-be kicked off their seasons in Boys HS rugby.
The regular season in the SCIRF is done with the St. Augustine Saints taking 1st, Cathedral Catholic 2nd, Fallbrook 3rd, and Mira Costa 4th.
The Saints defeated Cathedral 33-14 in a game where they were eager to avenge their 33-10 loss to Cathedral on January 28.
After 13 So Cal Interscholastic Rugby Federation (SCIRF) Girls Rugby Festivals, the Carson Girls 7s team emerged as the initial winner of the SCIRF Girls 7s League and winner of the cherished Mana Cup, which was contested at each festival.
