It’s been a while since we looked at USA players playing overseas, and where they are with their clubs. Here’s a rundown:
With the recent release of the new Elite Training Squad for the USA Men's 15s program, it's time to have a look at who is in-form in competitions we don't see very often, namely, the overseas leagues.
In the recent Saracens 19-13 win over Bath in the Aviva Premiership in England, USA players had a big influence - Hayden Smith came on to solidify the lineout, and Chris Wyles made several big players throughout the game, but the man who really stood out was Titi Lamositele.
Chris Wyles, newly-retired from the USA men’s national 15s team, continues to be a central figure on Saracens, helping them to a 28-17 defeat of Toulouse and a 6-0 European Cup record.
Chris Wyles has been a supremely important player for the USA national teams.
He was a steadying force through some pretty serious upheavals, and as he retires from international 15s duty, it's worth looking back and tipping your hat.
