Pau Lasike had a big day off the bench as USA players continue to try to make a showing in rugby action around the world.
After not getting on the field against Sale, Paul Lasike ran on as a sub for Harlequins against Saracens and promptly scored two tries.
There seems to be a small migration of USA players from professional teams overseas back to the USA.
Getting professional rugby time overseas remains a difficult proposition for American rugby players, and with travel restrictions and COVID-19 and everything else, it’s even tougher.
But, some players are either active or will be soon, especially in France.
Regulation 9 in World Rugby says that clubs must release players who have been called up to international duty, but that rule only applies to specific times of the year.
Dublin University's rugby team, Trinity, continues to be a useful proving ground for USA rugby players, and will be again this season.
