Kutztown University finished off a perfect run in the Rugby East, securing a five-straight bonus-point victory to clinch the conference title.
Saturday, the Golden Bears pulled away from a tenacious St. Bonaventure team to win 83-7.
Kutztown University is now in 1st place in the Rugby East after defeating Penn State Saturday, riding a torrid first half and holding on as the Lions roared back.
Aaron Gray went over in the first five minutes to give Kutztown an early lead, and two minutes later scrumhalf Tai Kauwe zipped in and with Thorne O'Connell's conversion Kutztown led 12-0 after eight minutes.
Penn State pulled away, barely, from Notre Dame College to beat the Falcons 31-25 in the Nittany Lions' first Rugby East game of the season.

The Golden Bears open up their season on August 31 against the Schuylkill River men's club. The Bears then open up the Rugby East season with Mary Washington, Army, Navy, Virginia Tech, Wheeling Jesuit, Penn State, Note Dame College, and St. Bonaventure.
