In an absolute classic De La Salle edged by Granite Bay to win the Northern California Premier final.
Ranked #2 among school teams, De La Salle beat the #1-ranked HS club 24-22, scoring in the final moments to secure the regional championships. This adds to De La Salle's all-California school title that they won over Torrey Pines in March.

There's a long list of solid teams in Northern California, and there seem to be few easy games, but at the same time, all eyes seem to be on Granite Bay and De La Salle at the top.
The top-ranked teams in Northern California kept winning in a league that is establishing itself as one of the strongest in the nation.

Granite Bay continued their run of excellent results with a 33-17 win over Jesuit of Sacramento.
"We're big, strong, and fast in our top 23," said Granite Bay Head Coach Chris Miller, who has to take some credit for the Grizzlies' success this season but doesn't seem to want to. "We've got players with high rugby IQ, and we've avoided the injury plague."
