Army West Point men's rugby defeated Queens University Charlotte 28-12 Friday night at Army's Anderson Rugby Complex to move to 2-0 in the Rugby East.
About 80 men's D1 teams are in action this weekend, with almost half of them (we count 34) are on the schedule.
So who leads the Rugby East?
It might be too early to tell, of course, after just one week. It's relatively rare to have a team just roll throughout without at least a scare, if not an outright loss.
Friday night brought us three D1 college results of note—here's a look.
Iowa State 58 Iowa 5The Cyclones looked pretty strong in their defeat of the Hawkeyes. Iowa State lost a tough, close game to Iowa Central last week, and this week put into practice some of the lessons from that game.
We have at least 26 games plus a tournament with about as many short-form games this weekend in Men's D1 rugby, including the reigning D1A champion and the reigning NCR D1 winner.
