The Rugby East Conference has announced that it will add five teams for its Fall 2022 competition.
With input from fans and coaches around the country, the Rudy Scholz Award Panel has named its 2021-22 Scholz Award Nominees.
These 16 players will be whittled down to a group of finalists with the help of the rugby community, who get to vote on who should be finalists.

Lindenwood put an emphatic stamp on their Mid-South season with a 39-7 defeat of Life University Saturday.
With the victory, the Lions ended the Mid-South season 6-0. Life, who were playing without sparkplug halfback Isham-eel Safodien, dropped to 4-2.
Penn State pulled off a little bit of an upset, beating Navy 40-24 Saturday in D1A action.
These teams had clashed during the fall in Rugby East and Navy won that meeting 37-22.
But this time around Penn State exerted pressure early and got a big game once more from flanker Aiden King. Brian Stella was a huge presence in the backline and scored multiple times.
Emilio Shea's try with six minutes left sealed a tense victory for Cal over Saint Mary's, seeing this classic rivalry once again go down to the wire.
