GRR: Camps
The American Rugby Coaches Association is holding a two one-day camps for women, in Texas.
The camps will be held Saturday, Jan 23 and Sunday, Jan 24. Each will last from noon to 5pm.
There’s been a lot of talk in rugby and football circles about the influence of one sport over the other in terms of tackling and converting crossover athletes, and ATAVUS Coach Emilie Bydwell said there are certainly approaches that work best for rugby coaches.
SEATTLE – ATAVUS (atavus.com) has launched its two newest ATAVUS Academy locations in Minneapolis and San Diego to provide sustained, year-round player development. Initially both locations will focus on women’s (18+) programs, designed to parallel the USA Rugby Women’s development pathway and scheduled to complement rugby schedules in the Midwest and Southern California.
The Atlantis Rugby Corporation will host an Individual Testing and Open Rugby Sevens Camp for High School Boys/Girls, Collegiate and U23 Men and Women on Sunday, Oct 11, 2015 from 9am to 3pm. The camp will be valuable for novice and experienced players alike and is open to any male or female player who is CIPP registered with USA Rugby.
About 30 student-athletes attended the East Coast Rugby Combine August 1 and 2 at the United Sports Center in Downingtown, Pa., with young players showing their talents to several top college rugby programs.
