It’s business as usual for a very effective USA women’s 7s team as the Eagles finished Pool Play at the Cape Town 7s 2-1.
Only a somewhat unlucky end to the game against Australia—one missed tackle and one dropped ball—prevented a clean sweep.
The USA HS All Americans’ 2-1 day at the World School 7s was a surprise.
Regardless of how the tournament ends, it has to be considered something of a success given expectations.

In the opener the HSAA team took on the defending World School 7s Champions the New Zealand Condors.
HSAA vs NZ CondorsThe Condors struck first but it was very slow going as the Americans made some key try-saving tackles—Lucas Lacamp and Peyton Wall logging some impressive defensive efforts.
The Arizona Bobcats HS select side program is back with another running of the Roadrunner 7s in Phoenix.
The tournament, thanks in large part to Jessica Brandt, was a big success last year and as happened in 2018 it will include teams from Arizona, Nevada, and Utah.
The Boys HS All Americans are set up for the World School 7s this coming weekend.
Late injuries have reduced the squad, as the HSAA group in New Zealand without Nate Roeback and Levi Summerlin. There wasn't enough time to get anyone else to fill in, so the squad of 14 is now 12, which isn't so small.
