Bowling Green Tops in MAC
After entering the season as conference favorites, Bowling Green capped off an undefeated Mid American Rugby Conference season with two victories this weekend.
The Falcons beat Miami of Ohio soundly 53-13 on Saturday to win their semifinal and set up a meeting in the final with Western Michigan, who beat Dayton 17-12.
WMU, BGSU into MAC FInal
The Mid-America Conference final is set after Bowling Green cruised by Miami and Western Michigan pulled off a mild upset over Dayton.
Bowling Green won big over most of their competition this year and so beating Miami 53-13 was no big surprise. But Western Michigan, which lost to Dayton earlier in the season, raised some eyebrows with a 17-12 defeat of Dayton Saturday.
Clemson Wins ACRLClemson University won the Atlantic Coast Rugby League with a very impressive 39-10 defeat of #19 Maryland in Charlotte, NC Saturday on the final weekend of the ACRL season. Max Simons opened the scoring early for Clemson, and Jai White followed on soon after.
WVU Holds On to Win Keystone
West Virginia University held on in a torrid second half to defeat St. Joseph’s 22-17 and win the Keystone Rugby Conference.
