Big 10 Conference

The battle for the playoff spots in the Big Ten Universities conference is still on even after the penultimate games of the regular season.

 

Indiana remains undefeated, sitting at 5-0 after beating Michigan State 69-13 Saturday. Jake Hidalgo scored five tries in the game. Indiana has one more game, against Purdue in two weeks, to finish unbeaten.

Indiana took sole possession of 1st place in the Big Ten Universities Conference with a dramatic 19-17 win over Michigan Saturday.

 

Michigan, previously undefeated, falls to 3-1, while Indiana improves to 4-0.

 

In other action, Wisconsin moved to 3-1 thanks to a forfeit win over Nebraska.

The respiratory illness that has hit many colleges students this fall hit the Ohio State men’s rugby team especially hard, and for three weeks the Buckeyes have had to cobble together a team made up of those who were healthy enough to play.
 

They were fortunate, though, to have two of those games be against non-conference opponents. 

Penn State moved to 2-0 in the Women's Big Ten Universities Conference with a workmanlike 55-12 defeat of Michigan Saturday.

 

Michigan tested Penn State early, and it was only 18-12 at halftime.
