Fall HS Action Boosts Numbers Across The US
Fall is not free of high school rugby.
Girls rugby, especially, gets a boost in the fall, both in 7s and (in some small examples) 15s.
This is not an exhaustive list, but it does give you an idea of what's going on this fall.
Minutemen Take HS Division at Surfside
The Minutemen RFC summer 7s HS team defeated Berks County in the final to win the HS Division of the Surfside 7s in Stone Harbor, NJ this weekend.
The Minutemen is a select 7s club comprised of players from the DC area. This year’s side included players from Georgetown Prep, Gonzaga, and St Johns College High School.
NA Lions Girls Win in Heidelberg; Boys Take 3rd

Slugfest 7s Kicks Off Summer in Maryland
The Howard County Hurricanes defeated North Bay 26-14 to win the Slugfest 7s hosted by the Rocky Gorge Rugby Club in Maryalnd.
Howard County, a combination of players from the Maryland Exiles, Good Counsel, and Landon School, beat the Minutemen and the Roosters on their way to the final.
SCIRF Girls Final 7s This Weekend
The girls teams in the SCIRF will meet up this weekend for a 7s championship.
Games of 15s or 10s are expected following this weekend, giving players a chance to get more experience in the aspects of play needed for the larger-squad versions of rugby. But 7s it will be this weekend.
