Last-Second Try Sees LCC by Torrey Pines

In a tight, dramatic Southern California Varsity Red game, La Costa Canyon clinched 1st in the San Diego conference with a 14-13 win over Torrey Pines.

It was senior night at Torrey Pines, (free hotdogs for the first 100 students, teacher appreciation night) and with two 4-0 teams meeting up, there was a huge crowd at the game.

SoCal Varsity Red Playoff Picture

We know who will be in the playoffs, and Mira Costa and St. John Bosco lead the Los Angeles division, and La Costa Canyon and Torrey Pines lead in San Diego. It now all comes down to who will be 1st.

St. John Bosco defeated Citrus Valley 52-5 to move to 4-0.

Torrey Pines Slams Cathedral

Torrey Pines defeated Cathedral Catholic 46-7 in SoCal's Varsity Red league, pulling off an excellent display against a very good Cathedral team.

With an undefeated league record on the line, Torrey Pines needed to play well against Cathedral, and they did, hardly putting a foot wrong against their San Diego-area rivals.
