Ohio Update: Ignatius, St. X Win Rivalry Matches In a classic rivalry high school varsity rugby game, the Saint Ignatius High School Wildcats triumphed over the Saint Edward Eagles 24-0 Saturday night (April 20) at Brooklyn Memorial Stadium in the Cleveland area. The Wildcats displayed a strong defense that kept the Eagles at bay in the first half, but their offense was not clicking, and the half ended with Ignatius leading only 3-0.

St. Ignatius won the Midwest Boys HS Championship, defeating crosstown rivals St. Edward 17-15 in Sunday's final at the Moose Rugby Grounds in Elkhart, Ind.

St. Edward beat St. Ignatius on the final play of the game to take the Rugby Ohio Boys Fall 7s, and St. Ed's made it a double, winning the Shield competition, as well.
Rugby Ohio used the regular season to stratify the competitions, with one set of teams playing for the Cup, and a second tier playing for the Shield in the final tournament.
