Clemson and South Carolina played a barnburner. South Carolina pressured early and were in position to score but Clemson held on. Then the Tigers got a free kick from a scrum and the Gamecocks weren’t ready—Clemson broke through fairly easily and scored on an 80-meter run.
The Furman Invitational wrapped up with six shortened games among four teams in the Carolinas.
Furman (of course), new varsity program Belmont Abbey, DIAA program South Carolina, and Citadel (which, like Furman, has a new coach) met up.

Played in snowy conditions at Towson University, the tournament included six teams from the Chesapeake and several others from outside the conference (including USC).
