Kansas, Texas State Move on in DIAA Playoffs
Kansas led 17-7 at halftime, and through a scoreless second half that lead held up.
Texas State and Kansas will play for a place in the ACR DIAA final after both won games in the Eastern Bracket quarterfinals Saturday.
Both quarterfinals were tight, but it did seem like the fact that the Lonestar teams had played conference games more recently might have set them up a little better.

Heart of American champs Kansas take on UT San Antonio, and Lonestar Conference champs Texas State take on Minnesota in Lawrence, Kans.
Texas State moved to 5-0 in the Lonestar Tier 2 South and Sam Houston State remained undefeated in Tier 1 after wins this past weekend.
Texas State got an early try from scrumhalf Matthew Lester and punished a pair of Prairie View A&M yellow card with two-five-pointers (lfyhalf Nicholas Smith and hooker Patrick Sanchez) for a 19-0 lead after 25 minutes.
